Well yesterday was terrifying. To start from the beginning, my parents just bought a new van cause the old one broke down, well somehow after they got this new one, the old one was now fixable. So they told me if I buy the part I can have the van. So I was like "well a car is better than no car, right?". So I bought this $100 piece, installed it and on Monday I started driving it. Well YESTERDAY (Wednesday), I was on my way to work, drinking Starbucks, enjoying the beautiful morning, listening to music. I was in the left lane when this stupid van started making this really loud clicking noise. So in order to pull over I had to get in the right lane. I started pulling over when the noise got worse and worse and I was starting like freak out. I told myself "I have to pull into a parking lot so I can see whats wrong", As I started to turn into the parking lot...BOOM!!! This loud boom came from the hood and suddenly my brakes didn't work AND my steering wheel didn't work, which then caused me to run up onto the sidewalk and onto a cement block. Well as i sat there waiting for my dad to come from work and help me, i realized i was in a ghetto part of town and all these bums were around. So after jumping out of the van after it tried to kill me, I got back in and locked the doors lol. To make everything WORSE I was on one of the busiest streets in town! Half of the van was poking out into the right lane (everyone was honking at me like i could help the situation), the other half in the sidewalk. On top of THAT there was a huge light pole about 5 feet from where the van hit the sidewalk and cement thing, thankfully I did NOT crash into that pole lol. So my dad arrives and we pop the hood of the van and take a look.....WELL my $100 piece was completely GONE! Apparently it had completely falling out of the hood onto the street as I was driving, which caused everything not to work. Then my dad got this look on his face, I asked what was wrong, he looked at me and said..."I installed that piece, I guess i didn't tighten up good enough.". I then looked at him and realized.....He almost got me killed. haha! All because he didn't install this piece right, i was up on a cement block, on a sidewalk, blocking traffic, almost hit a pole, and inches from disaster! haha! I am laughing now but believe me...at the time i was as angry as could be. I wasn't mad I almost died, I wasn't mad at my dad for installing it wrong, I was mad Because I wasted $100!! Well thats my interesting story for today! lol
Ciao!
